One of the magnificent stained glass windows in the Main Hall is that of St Cecilia, the Patron Saint of Music and Musicians.
The Stationers’ Company’s celebration of St Cecilia goes back to at least 1684 when the Gentlemen and Lovers of Music moved their annual musical dinner to the post-Great Fire Hall, whose fine acoustic was immediately recognised.
The acoustics remain excellent and our beautiful Hall is therefore exceptionally popular for a variety of musical events including concerts, recitals and opera performances.
