With a story that has evolved over hundreds of years, its beauty and tradition – not to mention a desirable location just a few steps from St Paul’s Cathedral – provides an ideal backdrop for your special day.
Your Ceremony
Available every day of the week, Stationers’ Hall has both the privacy and flexibility to meet your every need.
We can accommodate up to 200 guests for a civil ceremony and reception in either in the Court Room or Livery Hall, while our secluded garden is a stunning outdoor spot for a drinks reception and those memory-making photographs sprinkled with confetti. Already home to a gorgeous selection of seasonal plants and flowers, we can add decoration to create the atmosphere you envisage.
For the reception, the hall’s splendour – complete with carved oak panels and ornate stained-glass windows – is unrivalled in the City of London. The space can accommodate different setups with long or round tables, and you can dance the night away there or in the Stock Room.
Who can have a civil partnership?
Both same-sex and opposite-sex couples can form a civil partnership.
When you’ve decided where you want to have the ceremony, you will need to book the date with Islington and City of London Register Office. It has published a Marriage Ceremony Guide that you may also find helpful.
You must also check there is a registrar available to attend Stationers’ Hall at the agreed time.
